I upgraded both with existing (meaning I didn't do a full wipe and install.but the laptop had nearly nothing on it to begin with). My much faster Desktop went from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and is now super laggy and has been a horrible update.

My Windows 8 laptop upgraded easily and operates nicely with the update. I've upgraded two computers at my house to Windows 10. I am figuring that this is just not as compatible with Windows 10 like it was identified and that I should go back to Windows 7.but I am past my 30 days at this point.I've been very frustrated with my upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7 on my Desktop computer. So now I am not experienced enough to know what I should do next. Last night I backed up all my files and did a wipe and fresh install of Windows 10.but still the Intel (R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family 6 Port SATA AHCI Controller - 10C02) is not starting up and has a yellow exclamation point through it in Device Manager I then posted on the reddit for Windows 10 and got the advice to use an Intel utility for the drivers, but that also recognized that the driver was up to date and did nothing. I then tried to uninstall the driver and do a restart, but it still says it is not starting (I believe it installed the same driver again). I figured it was an old driver, but it says it has the most recent driver when I tried that. I finally noticed that the IDE ATA/ATAPI controller ( which is an Intel (R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family 6 Port SATA AHCI Controller - 10C02) is not starting up. So I have been trying to figure out what my real problems were with the update on the Desktop (formerly Windows 7 and had tons of old apps, files, etc).
